Dr. Helen King is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases and Geographic Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Prior to joining the faculty at UT Southwestern in 2017, she completed her Internal Medicine Residency and Infectious Diseases fellowship at the University of California San Diego. She serves as the PrEP physician lead at Parkland Health and Hospital System, providing clinical care for people living with HIV as well as preventative care for those at risk for HIV, including PrEP and treatment of sexually transmitted infections. Dr. King has worked to create a sexual health program aimed at improving PrEP prescribing practices and other sexual health best practices among primary care physicians within the Parkland clinic network across Dallas County.
