Health & Safety Travel Information
Prioritizing Your Safety
We are excited for the opportunity to be meeting again in-person. However, the health and safety of our guests will always be our top priority, and we’ll continue to keep a watchful eye on the fluid landscape. At this time we intend to comply with our Workplace Behavior & Face Covering Guidelines in addition to any federal, state, or local mandates. Please make sure you review the “COVID-19 Employee Resources & Recommendations” found on HROneStop. We’re closely monitoring COVID-19 developments and taking the necessary preventative measures to help maintain guest and employee safety. AT&T is committed to upholding all CDC, State of Texas and Dallas County Health COVID-19 protocols. This may include negative COVID-19 test requirements. Further details will be available closer to the event.
Vaccine Policy
Please note that all AT&T attendees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and comply with all other health and safety requirements of AT&T, the host facilities and/or local, state or federal law.
We are asking all attendees to agree to follow all communicated protocols while onsite for the Management Development Program.
Face Coverings
Attendees will be required to comply with all health and safety requirements of AT&T, the host facilities and/or local, state or federal law. Current AT&T and Dallas County policies state that face coverings will be required when indoors. Should this policy change, we will let you know.
Each individual traveler is solely responsible for ensuring that they are aware of and have met all relevant obligations and requirements before traveling. For the most up-to-date information regarding COVID-19-related travel procedures and policies, please refer to the following websites. It is recommended to revisit these websites prior to travel so you are prepared with the most up-to-date travel information and resort procedures.
State & Local Mandates
Many states, cities and counties continue to adjust their health and safety guidelines in accordance with the CDC’s recommendations for those who are fully vaccinated. For up-to-date travel advisories and restrictions, please visit Dallas County’s COVID-19 resource page shortly before traveling.
TSA Airport Security Procedures
The TSA is continuing to implement new security procedures for passengers to limit physical contact and increase physical distance as much as possible. For the latest travel advisories and procedures prior to your departure, please visit the CDC and TSA. Some policies may include:
- Masks required for public transportation: Travelers may be required to wear a mask that meets CDC guidelines in airports and on public transportation including airplanes, trains, and buses. Please visit your airline’s website for any requirements shortly before traveling.
- Keeping possession of boarding passes: Travelers are now required to place their boarding pass (paper or electronic) on the boarding pass readers themselves and show the boarding pass to the TSA officer for inspection.
- Separating food for x-ray screening: Passengers are required to place all carry-on food items in a clear plastic bag, remove bag from carry-on luggage and place bag into a bin for screening. TSA PreCheck™ members do not need to remove items from their bags.
- Removing required contents from carry-on luggage: Passengers will be required to go through security again to remove any items that should have originally been removed (such as laptops, liquids, gels, and aerosols, and large electronics) and resubmit their property for X-ray screening.
- Practicing social distancing: Passengers should allow for social distancing whenever possible without compromising security.
- Wearing facial protection: TSA officers are now required to wear facial protection.
- Hand sanitizer exemption: TSA is allowing one liquid hand sanitizer container, up to 12 ounces per passenger, in carry-on bags until further notice. Since these containers exceed the standard allowance typically permitted through a checkpoint, they will need to be screened separately. This may add additional time to your checkpoint screening experience. For more information, visit https://www.tsa.gov/coronavirus.
Airline Information & Procedures
Please visit your specific airline carrier’s website for their COVID-19 policies and procedures.
Airline Required Health Acknowledgment: Many airlines require passengers to complete a simple health acknowledgment during the check-in process. Health acknowledgements will request that you perform an evaluation of your own health prior to travel. Typically, you will be asked to disclose any symptoms or recent exposure and acknowledge that you understand the face covering requirements. Passengers who fail or refuse to complete the health acknowledgment may be deemed unfit to travel, and each carrier will resolve the matter in accordance with its own policies. This measure is expected to remain in place throughout the COVID-19 public health crisis.
Additional airline health and safety policies may include:
- Strictly following the CDC’s guidelines
- Minimizing touchpoints throughout the journey
- Encouraging the use of airline app for check-in and boarding passes
- Temporarily closing self-check-in kiosks
- Self-scanning of boarding passes
- Following the six-foot rule at ticket counters
- Limiting in-flight food and beverage options
- Practicing social distancing, when possible
- Boarding fewer passengers at a time from back to front
- Maintaining cleanliness and sanitization at terminals and on aircrafts
- Incorporating disinfectant fogging process
- Increasing cleaning schedules of high-traffic areas
- Providing easier access to hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes
