- Passport: International visitors wishing to travel to Colombia must present a passport valid for at least six months. This document must contain free pages for its use.
- You will be required to show an onward or return ticket valid within the 90-day period allowed for entry into Colombia as a visitor.

- Although there are no mandatory vaccinations to enter Colombia, it is recommended to have your vaccinations up to date, including measles, rubella, and yellow fever.
- Travel and health insurance
- It is strongly recommended that attendees take out insurance to cover loss incurred in case of cancellation, medical expenses, and damage to or loss of personal effects. The organizers will not be responsible for any medical costs incurred by attendees or any costs arising from travel date changes resulting from medical or other reasons. The organizers will not accept liability for personal injuries or for loss or damage to attendees’ belongings.

- Citizens of some countries need a visa that must be processed at the Colombian embassies or consulates abroad. If required, we recommend applying 4 months prior to your anticipated travel date.
- To check if your country requires a visa, click here or PDF (English and Spanish). If the visa requirement applies to your country, please make sure to indicate so on the registration form. The VISA invitation letter will be issued by ILEX.
- Once the letter is issued, you can proceed with your individual online visa application. Here is a visa application guide for this process. Please start your visa request as soon as you can. The process could take up to three months.
- General visa application submission instructions:
- Have a valid passport or travel document, in good condition and with free space for visas.
- You must have a photo size 3x4cm, in color, with white background, recent, head-on, without accessories, clear visage, in JPG format with a maximum weight of 300 KB.

- Fill out the electronic visa application form.The maximum weight allowed for the total of documents attached to an application is 5MB.
- All required documents, other than identity documents or travel documents, must have an issue date not later than three months from the date of application registration.
- All documents from abroad must have apostille or legalization and official translation into Spanish when it is not in this language. The official translation must be legalized or apostilled according to the case.
- In the event of requiring submittal of bank statements, these may be without apostille or legalization and without translation into Spanish, if the content can be clearly established by the visa officer.
- If the filing of criminal records is required, when the application for this visa is submitted to a Colombian consulate based in the country of origin of the foreigner, the criminal background certification according to the established procedures in that country will be sufficient. When the application is submitted online, it can include the criminal records certified by the consulate of the country of origin accredited in Colombia or apostilled and legalized as the case may be.

- Andean community or Mercosur countries
- If you are a resident of member countries of the Andean Community (Bolivia, Ecuador, and Peru) or Mercosur countries (Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Venezuela, Chile, Guyana, and Surinam) you do not require a PID permit or visa to enter Colombia. You may present your national ID card and complete the Andean immigration card at the time of entry.

- COVID-19 TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS AND INFORMATION
- Important Information for All Travelers
- COVID-19 health restrictions for Colombia have been lifted. You do not need proof of full vaccination, or a negative COVID-19 test result to travel.
- To visit Colombia, you must meet regular entry requirements—all passengers need a Check-Mig. You do need to complete the Check-Mig immigration form. This online form was introduced during COVID-19 and has been maintained as an entry requirement for Colombia.
