Workshop: HIV Cluster and Outbreak Detection and Response Planning – Midwest
Via Zoom
January 12th and 13th, 2021
About the workshop
For this closed meeting, AIDS United will convene health department staff from Chicago, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin for a two-day virtual workshop focused on strengthening HIV cluster and outbreak detection and response (CDR) plan development. The primary audience for this workshop includes program managers, division directors, and disease intervention specialist (DIS) managers and directors involved with HIV cluster detection and outbreak response planning and implementation efforts within the five jurisdictions.
The goals of this workshop are to:
- Provide a relevant and timely planning opportunity for staff of programs at health departments to work on creating and improving jurisdictional CDR plans;
- Provide an opportunity at the workshop and subsequent connections for attendees to network and learn through conversation with staff of other regional jurisdictional programs, and to share best practices and collaborate toward the improvement of their CDR plans.
Workshop facilitators will guide discussion among participants on sections one, two, and four of the CDR plans, primarily focusing on internal collaborations, external partnerships, and strategy prioritization.
