1:35 PM - 2:55 PMAll of Us Need All of Us to Survive: The Relationship Between Self-Care and Communal Healing

Our communities were already prone to burnout, and the pandemic has taken an even bigger toll on us all. In order to navigate burnout, stay in the work, and stay alive, it is essential that we invest in our own and our people's well-being. This workshop will focus on understanding the role of our own trauma and collective trauma; practical, proven approaches to healing trauma; and dismantling the messages we've gotten about our own worth and value and how they impact taking care of ourselves. There's a reciprocity between our own healing and communal healing; each is equally important. More than ever before, the most radical thing we can do is care for ourselves and care for one another.
